Rakshabandhan Celebration
Description:
A group of students (33) , teachers (7) and sisters (3) went to district jail to celebrate Rakshabandhan with the prisoners . We all started at 6.15 a.m and reached back at 10 a.m. Programme started with few words on this occasion by sister Principal. A warm welcome was given at District Jailor Mr. O.P Katiyar, Jailor Mr. P.K Singh and deputy Jailors Mr. Ritwik Priyadarshi and Mr. Nagesh Singh by sisiter Principal Bouquet was presented to them by sr. Principal and sr. Maria . Prayer song was presented by a group of tiny tots. Dance based on Rakshabandhan song was presented by few girls. Around 2000 prisoners were sitting in the ground. They really enjoyed the programme . Speech was given by Ujjwala Tyagi (Head Girl). Mrs. Neeraj Solanki also gave a speech . After the programme sr. Principal tied Rakhi on the wrist of all guests . Then a group of girls tied Rakhi to all the prisoners and gave them Choco- pie. Few prisoners really became emotional and everybody could see tears in their eyes. Students and teachers were given refreshment at the end by Jail staff. It was a meaningful programme for everyone present there.
